News Feature: World Autism Awareness Day

On World Autism Awareness Day this mum-of-three shares her determination for her children to me so much more than the “butt of people’s jokes, ridicule, and glares.”

It’s Saturday morning and we have just walked in from therapy with the three boys and I am sitting down to my first coffee of the day.

Today marks World Autism Awareness Day and like any globally recognised day it provides the opportunity for reflection and assessment for me professionally and personally.
